Called Specter, the jet-powered autonomous platform is being developed with advanced manufacturing company Divergent. Its architecture is intended to accommodate changing mission requirements without requiring the aircraft to be redesigned from the ground up. Specter will use a turbojet propulsion system and is planned in both ground launched and air launched configurations. Heart Aerospace has unveiled its ES-36 this week, a 36-seat hybrid-electric regional airliner and the company’s production aircraft. Award-winning air carrier JSX announced a deposit-backed purchase agreement for 50 ES-36 aircraft, with purchase rights for 50 more. Toronto aerospace company MOSTAVIO Inc. has cleared a major regulatory hurdle for its electric vertical takeoff and landing program. A newly issued Special Flight Operations Certificate allows the company to move beyond tethered testing and prepare for outdoor, untethered flights. The next phase will put the MX1 prototype into a more demanding environment as engineers gather real-world flight data. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne-Innovation!!!
